Today, we traveled the rest of the way across SD. So more flat land and plains. After we got into MT, we began to see lots of Pronhorns (have no idea if that is the way to spell it) and began to see more hilly/mountainous terrain. The first picture is a view of the Bad Lands. We did not tour through them or Mt. Rushmore since we had done that in 2010. The second picture is of a Pronhorn. Of course, we had to pull of to the side of the road to get it. Good thing it was not a well traveled road. We did drive over 450 miles today. That should be the last day for that many miles until we start home.
We are camped at 7th Ranch Campground near The Battle of the Big Horn visitor center, cemetery, and monument. If you get out this way it is a must stop, especially if you attend the ranger presentation. It is very impressive.

Since Glen got a "good" report from MD Anderson, as in no treatment at this time, go and do what you want to do, we headed north about 8 this morning from Passaic. We drove over 500 miles today which is more than we usually do but want to be in Anchorage by June 13 when Niece and family are flying in. We saw lots of flat land today but have a lovely campground on the Missouri River at Chamberlain, SD.

Change of scenery
We are spending the weekend at Cricket Creek Campground on Table Rock Lake. I know, this is not the direction toward Alaska but we are waiting to find out what my brother, Glen finds out at M.D. Anderson next Tues. We have been very undecided as to what plans to make and last thought was wait a little while. My sister, Marcella, gets out of school next week and was planning to travel with us. Patience is the name of the game.

To quote a line of a song, "If you want to hear God laugh, tell him your plans."
Our plans were to be leaving today heading north to Alaska. However, that is on hold because of health problems my brother is having. We are discussing alternate plans with a sister and brother-in-law. They won't get out of school until the end of the month. SO it looks like we will be here in Passaic a little longer.

Preparing for the Alaska trip
We have sold our home and are not living in our 5th wheel and are excited to head North for Alaska in a couple of week. We will be traveling with brother/sister-in-law in their motor home, sister/brother-in-law, and friends from SD in their motorhome. A niece and family will fly to Anchorage and renting a motorhome for three weeks. SO excited!
