It was a quiet/ restful day. We started the day out by going with Jeff and Marcella to the Flying Squirrel Bakery/restaurant. It is a unique place with lots of "different" kinds of things on the menu. We, of course, chose things we were familiar with. It was worth the trip.
Later in the day, we all loaded up and went for a ride to see the sights and try to find wildlife. The only wildlife we saw were some king salmon trying to get up the Montana Creek to spawn. That was worth the trip because we hadn't gotten to see that previously. You see some odd things here to lure in tourists. One of the oddest was Wal-Mikes where we made a stop. It was pretty much junk, junk, junk. It said if you can't find it at Wal-Mart, come to Wal-Mikes. We walked around and got a chuckle out of many thing but bought nothing obviously.

A sign at Wal-Mikes
The clouds were covering Mt. McKinley so we didn't get a view of it but only about 15 to 20 percent of people who come to this area get to see it cloudless. Since we are staying in the area for over a week, maybe we will get to see it.
The end of the day was completed with supper (thanks to Glen and Gayla), a game of Farkle, and music.
Every day is different but enjoyable in it's own right.
