Fort Nelson to Liard Hotsprings - June 7, 2014

The day started with a visit to Trappers Den Wilderness Emporium for some "shopping".  There were leather $200-$450 gloves/moccasins etc.  We didn't leave much of our money with them.
The journey from Fort Nelson to Liard Hot Springs was breath taking through mountains and lakes.  There were several wildlife sightings.  We have seen so many black bear that we almost don't take pictures of them any more.  And the pictures are not of the same bear. lol  There was a stop at Tetsa River Services and Campground for what is described as "world famous" cinnamon buns.  They were delicious.  The sign on the gas pump said "No Sniveling"  we didn't gas up there, however, the price at Pink Mountain yesterday was $1.79 per liter.  We didn't have much option so had to fill up, even after damaging the 5th wheel on the concrete barrier.  We didn't see the gun but certainly felt it. lol
There was a rest stop along the beautiful blue-green Muncho Lake.  It is one of the largest natural lake in the Canadian Rockies.  It is 7.5 miles in length and 1 mile in width.  We then traveled on the Liard River Hotsprings Provincial Park and parked for the night.  There were no hookups but it was a peaceful/quiet setting.  The hot springs rang from 108 degrees in the "cool" end to 140 degrees in the HOT end.  If you can get to the hottest end and lay a rock on the display you deserve much praise.  I certainly did not even get close but we did enjoy time relaxing in it.
I can imagine what he is saying.  Trust me this is not the same bear.
Sign on gas pump at cinnamon place.  $1.79 per liter = $7.20 or close.
Stone Sheep.  Why do they always turn their rears to the camera?
